- Everything except higher conversation volume. Full agent, full customization (name, avatar, color, tone, voice, knowledge), live takeover, multilingual, catalog awareness, order tracking, analytics. Soft cap ~50 conversations/month.
- When should I upgrade to Pro?
- When you regularly hit the conversation cap (the dashboard shows you when). Most stores upgrade at ~$5K-10K/mo GMV when conversation volume picks up. If you're consistently under ~50 conversations/month, stay free.
- Are there overage fees?
- No. If you exceed your tier's soft cap, the agent posts a "we'll follow up" message and queues the conversation for manual reply. No surprise bills.
- Is the $299/mo a per-seat fee?
- No. $299/mo is the flat plan price — unlimited seats. Add as many merchant admins as you want; they can all take over conversations.
- Can I pay annually for a discount?
- Not currently. The Shopify App Subscriptions API supports monthly billing, and we're keeping pricing simple for now. Annual discount tier is on the roadmap.
- How is billing handled?
- Through the Shopify App Subscriptions API. Approved on install; charged monthly via your Shopify Bills (the same invoice that includes your other Shopify app subscriptions). One line item per month.
- Can I downgrade from Pro back to Free?
- Yes, anytime from Settings. The conversation cap resets to the free tier, but you keep all your customization, knowledge base, and conversation history.
- What if my store has more than 5,000 conversations/month?
- Email hello@clearly.sh — we offer custom volume tiers for stores above 5K conversations or with specific compliance requirements. Typically $499-799/mo flat for 10-25K conversations.
